Project Engineer


  • Works with clients, architects, engineers, consultants, superintendents and foremen in all aspects of a project
  • Prepares or assists the project manager with estimates and proposals
  • Ensures that all jobs are inspected for quality and adherence to plans and specifications
  • Maintains awareness of job progress and ensures overall profitability for each project
  • Mentors and trains others for overall team development

Assists in overall management direction to multiple projects, establishes project objectives and policies, maintains liaison with prime client contracts, and monitors construction and financial activities under administrative direction of the project manager.

Requisites

  • High school graduate
  • Preferred: Bachelors Degree or advanced coursework in a business-related discipline
  • Working knowledge of construction-related computer software
  • Preferred: Two years construction management experience
  • Preferred: Construction management experience specific to tenant improvement and core/shell construction

Responsibilities

  • Prepares or assists the Estimating Department with estimates and proposals
  • Works with client, architect, consultants, and foremen on all aspects of the project
  • Prepares and maintains detailed project schedules
  • Prepares a construction package for the General Superintendent and ensures that superintendent(s) and foremen have a thorough understanding of the project
  • Ensures that plan checks and permits are secured
  • Prepares RFI’s and submittals and maintains logs
  • Prepares change estimates and tracks client approvals
  • Oversees proper completion of daily job logs and as-built records
  • Prepares all closeout documentation

Project Manager


Provides overall management direction to multiple projects, establishes project objectives and policies, maintains liaison with prime client contracts, and monitors construction and financial activities through administrative direction of on-site team(s).

Requisites

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Working knowledge of construction-related computer software
  • 5 years construction management experience with successful completion of projects in excess of $5 million
  • Preferred: Experience in tenant improvement and core/shell construction

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains professional working relationships with existing clients and assists in marketing efforts to acquire new clients and project opportunities
  • Prepare estimates with the Estimating Department and present professional proposals to clients
  • Creates, prepares, and maintains detailed project schedules

Field Superintendent


Oversees total on-site construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with the design, budget, and schedule. Supervises and coordinates subcontracted work for overall contract compliance and quality.

Requisites

  • High school graduate
  • Preferred: Advanced coursework or degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field
  • Completed apprenticeship program or equal
  • Two years experience as a foreman or superintendent
  • Preferred: Superintendent experience specific to commercial tenant improvement and core/shell construction.
  • Working knowledge of basic computer programs

Responsibilities

  • Ensures a clear understanding of all aspects of assigned projects and communications to project team regarding: drawings, specifications, schedules, material and supply budgets, subcontractor coordination, and client-driven rules and regulations
  • Works with client, architect, consultants, and foremen on all aspects of the project
  • Prepares and maintains detailed project schedules
  • Monitors daily labor and material demands
  • Responds to requests for changes in scope of work
  • Maintains a clean and safe jobsite, ensuring safety training as needed
  • Mentors and trains others for overall team development
